Clifford W. Smith, Jr., PhD. 
Cliff is the Louise and Henry Epstein Professor of Business Administration & Professor of Finance at the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester, where he has been in residence as a professor since 1974. Since starting his award-winning academic career in 1980, Cliff has held visiting positions at several prestigious institutions of learning around the world, including: Goizueta Business School at Emory University, Faculdade de Economia, Universidade do Porto, the School of Law at George Mason University, City University Business School of London, and the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. Prior to his academic career, Cliff served as a Financial Economist at the Directorate of Economic and Policy Research at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Cliff has published several highly acclaimed articles and books relating principally to finance and macroeconomics, including the recently published 5th edition of Managerial Economics and Organizational Architecture, with J.A. Brickley and J.L. Zimmerman. Cliff has been affiliated with several professional economic associations, most recently as a Director and Vice President-Global Services for the Financial Management Association International.
